Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate

Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from Marrakech. As we journey through the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains, prepare to be amazed by panoramic views of rugged terrain and traditional Berber villages.

Our first stop is the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its historical significance and film backdrops. After exploring this ancient fortress, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” where you can relax and unwind in comfort.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Skoura (Kasbah Amridil) – Rose Valley – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara – Overnight in a Luxury Camp

After breakfast, we explore Ouarzazate, visiting the renowned Atlas Studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah. Next, we head southeast to Skoura, home to the picturesque Amridil Kasbah, set among lush palm groves. Continuing through the fragrant Rose Valley, we traverse the rugged Dades Valley with its stunning rock formations. The day culminates at the majestic Todra Gorges, before arriving in Merzouga for a magical desert experience. Enjoy camel trekking across the golden sands and spend the night under the stars in a luxury desert camp.

Day 3: Explore Merzouga Region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga Lake – Erg Chebbi – Palm Grove

Awake to a breathtaking desert sunrise and embark on a day of exploration in the Merzouga region. Visit an ancient eyeliner mine and local nomadic communities to learn about their rich culture. In the village of Khamlia, enjoy soulful Gnawa music. After lunch, stroll through palm groves and visit the tranquil waters of Merzouga Lake. The highlight of the day is the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you can marvel at the stunning desert landscape. Return to your hotel filled with memories of the day.

Day 4: Merzouga Dunes – Erfoud – Midelt – Cedars Forest – Ifrane – Fes

Leaving the desert behind, we head towards Rissani, a fascinating blend of ancient traditions and modern life. Our journey continues to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops. We then travel through the scenic Ziz Valley to Midelt for lunch. Next, explore the majestic cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, home to diverse wildlife, including the endangered Barbary macaque. Our final stop is Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” before arriving in the imperial city of Fes for the night.

Day 5: Guided Tour of Fes

Today, immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Fes. Our guided tour begins with a visit to the Royal Palace gate, followed by exploring the winding streets of the medieval medina. Visit vibrant souks, the famous Blue Gate, ancient tanneries, and the historic Quaraouin mosque and university. After a full day of sightseeing, return to your accommodation, reflecting on the sights and sounds of this captivating city.

Day 6: Transfer to the Airport

As your 6-day desert tour comes to a close, we bid farewell to Fes and transfer you to the airport for your departure.
