4 Days Tour From Casablanca To fes via Chefchaouen Program Itinerary

Day 1 Casablanca to the “blue city” of Chefchaouen
Our first day in 4 Days Tour From Casablanca To fes will explore Casablanca is the modern commercial capital of Morocco. Compared to the imperial cities of Fez and Marrakesh, there are relatively few tourist attractions. Before heading away, you can quickly explore the highlights in just one morning.
If you only visit one place in Casablanca, let it be the Hassan II Mosque, which is located by the attractive sea. Its minaret was completed in 1993 and is the tallest building in Morocco and the tallest minaret in the world. It is estimated that the courtyard can accommodate 80,000 believers, and the interior can accommodate 25,000 people. Although the appearance and the military area are impressive, what makes this mosque even more special is that it is one of the few mosques in the country that is accessible to non-Muslims.
Other attractions include Hobous, the “new city” of Casablanca. It was construct by French in the 1930s. Here, you can try some of the buildings in the Art Deco style. It’s a great place to find handicrafts, including markets for olives, vegetables, and spices. Or take a leisurely stroll along the Boulevard de la Corniche and the beachfront Corniche – often referred to as “Miami” in Morocco.
In the afternoon, drive to the scenic Chefchaouen, where the flat plains and rolling hills have become the mountain landscape of the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen has been virtually untouched since the 15th century, providing a relaxed atmosphere with some of the friendliest people in the country. Explore the main square, Plaza Uta Al Hammam, and enjoy a meal at a nearby restaurant or café.
You can also climb the hill to the city walls and follow the path to the Atlas Hotel. Reach the rooftop and enjoy the sweeping view of the blue city. Towards the end of the day, walk east of town to climb a path to the White Spanish Mosque. Its location provides a great place to watch the sunset behind the mountains.

Day 2 The Roman ruins of Volubilis and the imperial cities of Meknes and Fes
Before heading to Fez our 4 Days Tour From Casablanca To fes, get up early to take pictures of blue streets. Along the way, stop at the UNESCO-protected site of Volubilis, the furthest place in Africa for the Romans. Wander through this complex of buildings and explore the commercial residences with intact heating systems, temples and many in-situ mosaics. Continue to the smaller and less busy Fes Meknes to learn about this historic imperial city. The two main attractions are Imperial City and Medina (Old Town). Be sure to visit the Bab al–Mansour Gate, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum and Royal Palace.
Continue to Fez. Fes has an impressive ancient Medina, a city worth losing in it. Before entering the Medina, please take a moment to visit the Mausoleum of Merenid Tombs located in the northern part of the city and enjoy the panoramic view of Fez and the surrounding area. Go down the mountain and return to your riad (traditional Moroccan house with indoor garden) in the evening.

Day 3 Exploring Fes’s medina with a local Guide
Continuing the 4 Days Tour From Casablanca To fes is the oldest imperial city in Morocco and the most worth exploring place. As a UNESCO-protected site, the city has not experienced much colonial development, allowing you to experience its medieval charm. Fes consists of two old Medina districts, Fes el Bali and Fes el Jdid (the newer part of the city), as well as Ville Nouvelle designed by France in the early 20th century. You will meet your guide who will help you navigate the narrow and maze-like old streets of the old town, starting with Fes el Bali that dates back to 789 AD.
When you pass through various open-air markets offering spices, leather products, and tin products, pay attention to the buildings influenced by Spain . Known for its tannery and the pungent smell associated with it, visit the popular Chouara tannery and then climb to the roof of a nearby shop to better observe what is happening. Visit the 14th-century Al Attarine Madrasa and admire ceramic tiles, before visiting one of the oldest and still operating universities in the world, Al-Qarawiyyin University (859 AD). Find Mellah (Old Jewish Quarter) in Fes el Jdid and admire the city from another angle.

Day 4: Fes to Casablanca & Departure
Before returning to Casablanca, spend the morning exploring more Fes, with the option of stopping in Meknes and Rabat on the way. Depending on your flight time, you may want to explore more of Casablanca before heading to the airport-you can follow Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart’s footsteps at Rick Cafe, recreating famous scenes from legendary movies.
