Day 1: Drive Through the scenic High Atlas Mountains

Welcome to Morocco! the 4 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech To Marrakech, you will travel from the city on a scenic journey through the High Atlas Mountains. This beautiful landscape is home to the Berber people, an indigenous ethnic group found throughout North Africa.

Along the way, you’ll discover several Berber villages and farms, as well as rivers that allow them to cultivate the harsh, rocky lands. Stop by for an optional visit to a traditional Berber house, where you will be greeted warmly and gain insight into their daily lives. Enjoy the stunning views of seemingly endless peaks and valleys as you cross the Tizi-en-Tika pass, and watch in the distance Toubkal, the longest of them all.

The High Atlas also acts as a buffer between the milder Mediterranean climate in the north and the Sahara desert in the south. As you continue towards Ouarzazate, the climate becomes noticeably desert-like. Picturesque Ouarzazate was once a major center of commerce, but today it is known for the exotic background seen in many of your favorite movies and TV shows.

From there you will head to the Dades Valley, known for its lush oases and elaborate kasbahs. The kasbahs were large square watchtower forts built by landowners and the wealthy, and constitute some of the most distinctive Moroccan architecture. Spend the night in a comfortable hotel located in a quiet valley.

Day 2: Explore Todra Gorge and Camel Riding on Sahara Desert

Day 3: Draa Valley River to Ouarzazate

Continuing our 4 days desert tour from Marrakech to Marrakech, In This morning you will return to Rissani to visit the Maison Touareg market and cultural center. Learn about the tribes of the area and the symbolism of the spectacular carpets they weave. There are many other authentic handicrafts available for bargaining, including jewelry, leather and tin. From there, you will travel west through vast sahara desert plains, hight atlas mountain peaks and acacia forests, encountering tribes along the Road.

When you reach the fertile Dela Valley, the landscape becomes lush and full of palm trees, fruit trees and farms. Stop here to stretch your legs and taste the fresh produce from the tree. Then enter the Anti Atlas mountain range and admire the spectacular river valley and desolate rocky landscape at the Tizi–n–Tinififft mountain pass. End the day in Ouarzazate and spend the night in a charming riad accommodation and inner courtyard garden.

Day 4: Kasbah Ait Benhaddou Via Marrakech

If you want to spend more time in Ouarzazate, you can choose to visit kasbah Tawrirte Castle in the morning, which is one of the most impressive castles in the country. Or, visit one of the two film studios in the city to see where scenes from movies such as “Gladiator” and “Lawrence of Arabia” were shot. From there you will head to kasbah Ait BenHaddou, located at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, aroud 20 km west of Ouarzazate.

This castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located on the ancient camel caravan trade route connecting the Sahara desert and Marrakech. This is an amazing example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture, with tree trunks and bamboo used for the roof.
